Senior Nurse

West Indies Alumina Company invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the position of Senior Nurse in the Human Resources / Medical Department at our port Esquivel location in St. Catherine.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
• At least five years experience as a Registered Nurse
• A valid license from the Nursing Council of Jamaica
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of the Industrial Health Centre to include the provision of 24-hour nursing service
• Make decisions regarding the treatment and management of occupational emergencies and illnesses
• Select, order and monitor all medical supplies to include equipment and medication needed for the Industrial Health Centre
• Arrange for and assist with the medical examinations of employees (periodic medicals) and job applicants (pre-employment medicals)
